National and international success for Allinq Continental Cyclingteam

21 December 2022

Allinq has been the main sponsor of Allinq Continental Cyclingteam since 2022, paving the way for the team’s creation. With team leader Marc Zonnebelt, we look back on this first year. “I am very proud of what we have achieved this year. We have positioned ourselves well nationally and internationally. In the top competition, we finished second in the general classification over 8 games. We won the team time trial in Olympia’s tour. Also, we have achieved a number of podium finishes at international events. So for a first season, I am delighted.”

Shared values

By challenging itself, innovating, pushing boundaries, and growing (internationally), the Allinq Continental Cyclingteam shares the same values as Allinq. Marc: “We try to do things slightly differently from other teams, and to make our riders better by investing in them. Keep believing in the people you have. That is the connection we have with each other and for each other. That is also Allinq’s strategy. Connecting and investing in the people around you. Employees also improve by taking courses and training. This way you get better together one step at a time. And together you can reach your goal.”

Cycling connects

The organized clinics show that cycling in an accessible way creates connection. This year, the Allinq Continental Cyclingteam organized a number of clinics for employees and one large clinic for customers. “This is how we give people a great sporting experience. When you get on a bike, all ranks and hierarchies are gone. Then it doesn’t matter if you are a director or a cleaner, in the end, you have the same goal; a nice cycling trip.”

Upcoming year

At the moment, Marc is busy putting together the cycling team for 2023, which will be presented on March 1 at the B&I Congress Center in Harderwijk. The majority of the riders will also ride again next year. Marc: “These guys are currently the fixed values of our cycling team. They form a broad, strong foundation because we have been working together for years.” For the new team, Marc is looking for guys who match the culture of the team and of Allinq. “I think our identity is quite in line with what Allinq is like. A company that does not boast very highly, but shows through hard work that it is the best. That’s why we look for men who are right for us. Those Amsterdam swaggerers are of no use to us at all. You can have a big mouth, but if you can’t live up to it, you won’t achieve anything. Then you’ll be done in no time.”

Overcoming the team time in Olympia’s tour is one of the goals for 2023. But also winning a UCI competition in the Netherlands. Marc: “Winning a major classic in the Netherlands is a real goal. The biggest achievement would be De Ronde van Overijssel or the Ster van Zwolle. And in three years’ time we want to be among the best continental cycling teams in the Netherlands.”
